Gillingham miss chance to extend their lead at the top of League Two with a draw against Morecambe.

Gillingham missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of League Two as they could only draw with Morecambe.

The Gills had to come from behind after Jack Redshaw had given the Shrimps the lead just before half time, but Bradley Dack responded after the break. However, Martin Allen's side couldn't force the win.

Port Vale moved up into second place in the table with a 2-0 win over York City thanks to strikes from Jennison Myrie-Williams and Lee Hughes.

Burton Albion slipped below Port Vale into third as they could only draw with Dagenham and Redbridge. Meanwhile, Cheltenham Town moved up into fourth with a 3-0 win over Rotherham United.

At the other end of the table, Accrington Stanley earned a precious win over fellow strugglers Barnet in their fight for survival and are now only in the relegation zone on goal difference.

There were crucial wins for Plymouth Argyle over Fleetwood Town and AFC Wimbledon over Aldershot, as both eased their relegation worries.

Results in full: Accrington Stanley 3-2 Barnet, Aldershot 0-1 AFC Wimbledon, Bristol Rovers 2-1 Rochdale, Cheltenham Town 3-0 Rotherham United, Dagenham and Redbridge 1-1 Burton Albion, Exeter City 4-1 Bradford City, Morecambe 1-1 Gillingham, Oxford United 0-1 Chesterfield, Plymouth Argyle 2-1 Fleetwood Town, Southend United 1-1 Torquay United, Wycombe Wanderers P-P Northampton Town, York City 0-2 Port Vale.
