Darren Bent decides not to stay at Fulham following loan stint

Darren Bent admits that he has ruled out a permanent move from Aston Villa to Fulham following a season-long loan at Craven Cottage.

Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has revealed that he has no plans to stay with Fulham after the club were relegated to the Championship.

The 30-year-old spent last season with the Cottagers on a loan basis and scored just six goals in 30 games.

"I've enjoyed my time down here but obviously it hasn't gone well," the Express & Star quotes Bent as saying. "I haven't played as much football as I would have liked."

Bent has one year remaining on his current Villa deal.
