Konstantinos Mitroglou ruled out for Fulham

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen confirms that January signing Konstantinos Mitroglou is not fit enough to play against Liverpool on Wednesday.

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen has confirmed that January signing Konstantinos Mitroglou will not play against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

The Greek striker, 25, is yet to feature for the Cottagers following his £11m move from Olympiacos last month.

Meulensteen has now revealed that Mitroglou is still working on his fitness as he waits to make his debut.

"We're still working very hard to get him up to speed for the Premier League," the Dutchman is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"It's important for us that we time that right, for us and for him. He's working hard, he's progressing every day, and that's how we assess him. Wednesday will be too early for him."

Fulham welcome Liverpool to Craven Cottage in the Premier League tomorrow evening.
