Felix Magath apologises for Fulham performance

Fulham manager Felix Magath says that he is "very sorry" for his side's performance in their 5-1 defeat to Derby County - their fourth straight Championship loss.

Felix Magath has said that he is "very sorry" for Fulham's performance in their defeat to Derby County this afternoon.

The Cottagers were thrashed 5-1, leaving them at the bottom of the Championship table.

The German manager told BBC Radio 5 live: "It was too much for the young team, we stopped playing after they got the second goal and it got worse.

"It is terrible there is no question and that game has shown us that we need a change now. That's our fourth loss and, for a young team it's a very difficult situation.

"I'm very sorry for our performance in the last half hour. It was not right that we lost control after getting our goal. We had the chance to fight back but after their second goal, we broke down."

Fulham are yet to pick up a point from their first four matches of the season.
