Fulham manager Martin Jol admits that he gambled on his side's tactics against Chelsea earlier today.

Martin Jol has admitted that he gambled on his Fulham side's tactics away at Chelsea this afternoon.

The Dutchman was forced to start Orlando Sa up front on his own following injuries to experienced strikers Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson.

However, a 56th-minute equaliser from Clint Dempsey saw the Whites claim a 1-1 draw from their trip to Stamford Bridge.

"Sometimes you have to take a gamble, and that is what we did today," said Jol.

"Our two main strikers dropped out so we had to come up with something else. I think it paid off."

Next up for Fulham is a trip to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
