Sports Mole looks at how France could line up for Tuesday's friendly against Germany in Dortmund.

France will go into their friendly with Germany on Tuesday without Olivier Giroud, after the AC Milan striker went off in the first half with an ankle injury on Thursday against Ireland.

Having got the job done in qualifying last week though, making it five wins from five in the Euro 2024 preliminary rounds, manager Didier Deschamps could give a start to some of his squad members.

France have some of the best squad depth of any nation on the continent, and given Germany's woeful recent form, Deschamps may see it as a great opportunity to see what some of the back-up cast can do.

Marcus Thuram was the man who replaced Giroud at the Parc des Princes and repaid his manager's faith with a goal against Ireland.

New Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani will also be hoping for an opportunity though, and he could well get the nod in Giroud's absence.

Elsewhere in the side, William Saliba and Eduardo Camavinga could come into the starting XI after being left out in their qualifier last week.

At the back, Lucas Hernandez lined up alongside brother Theo Hernandez on the left-hand side of defence, playing 72 minutes on his international return after tearing his ACL at the World Cup.

Ibrahima Konate pulled out of the squad with injury shortly before the group met up, along with Moussa Diaby and Khephren Thuram.

Chelsea duo Christopher Nkunku and Wesley Fofana are two of the most notable injury absentees for France at present.

Despite there being nothing but pride to play for and potentially building confidence, Deschamps could still go with his two big-hitters Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.

Mike Maignan should also continue in the side, having continued to show very fine form in the French goal since replacing Hugo Lloris after the World Cup.

France possible starting lineup:
Maignan; Pavard, Saliba, Disasi, T Hernandez; Camavinga, Tchouameni, Griezmann; Coman, Kolo Muani, Mbappe
