Yann M'Vila challenges his France teammates to prove their quality against Spain in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.

France midfielder Yann M'Vila has urged his country to prove their quality by beating Spain in the Euro 2012 quarter-finals.

Les Bleus lost 2-0 to Sweden on Tuesday and as result finished second in Group D behind England. Their reward for claiming the runners-up spot is a last eight meeting with defending European champions Spain, who topped Group C, and M'Vila has challenged his teammates to cause an upset.

"We came upon a team that was far stronger than us," said M'Vila.

"We are going to play Spain, the world and defending champions.

"It is up to us to show another side to our game and to prove that we can go far in this competition."

The Rennes midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal.
