France coach Laurent Blanc has conceded that angry words were exchanged between his players following last night's 2-0 loss to Sweden.
The defeat to Swedes meant that France qualified for the quarter-finals of Euro 2012 as runners-up in Group D behind England.
As a result, they will now take on defending champions and favourites Spain for a place in the semi-finals.
"When you've lost, you're more hot-blooded," Blanc told reporters. "It got heated, but we all coolled down after a good shower.
"It kicked off a bit because all the players felt that everyone hadn't given everything."
Blanc's side have never lost to Spain in a competitive international fixture.
