Scottish League One roundup: Greenock Morton beat league leaders Stranraer

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's action from Scottish League One as Greenock Morton beat Stranraer to cut their lead at the top of the table.

Greenock Morton closed the gap at the top of the Scottish League One table to a single point by beating Stranraer thanks to goals from Declan McManus and Mark Russell.

Forfar Athletic also move to within a point of the top as Stephen Husband's goal gave them a 1-0 win over Dunfermline Athletic that sets up a three-way fight for the title.

Late goals from Gary McDonald and Andy Rodgers rescued a 2-0 win for Peterhead against Ayr United, while Airdrieonians beat Stenhousemuir thanks to a goal either side of half time from Bryan Prunty.

Stirling Albion remain eight points adrift at the bottom after Alan Trouten's strike just after the hour mark earned in-form Brechin City a 1-0 win at Forthbank Stadium.

Results in full: Forfar Athletic 1-0 Dunfermline Athletic, Greenock Morton 2-0 Stranraer, Peterhead 2-0 Ayr United, Stenhousemuir 0-2 Airdrieonians, Stirling Albion 0-1 Brechin City.
