Sweden international Marcus Nilsson joins Fleetwood Town

One-time Sweden international Marcus Nilsson agrees a deal with League One strugglers Fleetwood Town.

Fleetwood Town have secured the services of Marcus Nilsson.

The 27-year-old Swede, who has one senior international cap to his name, has joined the League One outfit following his release by Kalmar FF.

"The move happened very fast and I am delighted to be here. The season in Sweden ended in November so I've been training on my own for two months," he told the club's official website.

"I always liked English football. I'm looking forward to coming here and working hard."

As well as Kalmar, the centre-back has also played for Helsingborgs IF and FC Utrecht.
