Turkish outfit Fenerbahce have been booted out of the Europa League due to their involvement in a match-fixing case.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has ruled that the club should not compete in the second tier of European football after rejecting Fenerbahce's appeal following UEFA's decision to ban the club.
The Turkish outfit were permitted to play against Arsenal, who knocked them out of the Champions League with a 5-0 aggregate win, while the appeal was being considered.
The ruling states that Fenerbahce have been removed from the group stages of the Europa League and are barred from qualifying for next season's Champions League campaign.
