Everton will reportedly make a mid-season move for Watford captain Troy Deeney, despite the fact that the forward only signed a new five-year contract at Vicarage Road during the summer.
Leicester City were strongly linked with a £25m move for the 28-year-old in the summer, but Deeney turned down the reported interest from the Premier League champions to commit his future to the Hornets.
However, according to The People, Everton, who travel to Sunderland in the Premier League on Monday night, will attempt to lure the forward to Goodison Park when the winter transfer window opens as they bid to add competition in the final third of the field.
Deeney, 28, scored 13 Premier League goals in 38 appearances for Watford last season. His first goal of the new campaign came in Saturday's 4-2 victory at West Ham United.
