Everton are allegedly monitoring any developments with the future of Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker Daichi Kamada.

Everton have reportedly identified Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker Daichi Kamada as a potential transfer target.

On the back of narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League and selling Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur, the Toffees were productive during the summer.

However, Frank Lampard prioritised defensive-minded and central-midfield players, his only attacking additions being Dwight McNeil and Neal Maupay.

Everton have often disappointed in the final third since the start of the campaign, scoring just 11 times during their 13 top-flight fixtures.

Nevertheless, at a time when the club sit three points clear of the relegation zone, Frank Lampard will be confident of still being able to attract quality players to Goodison Park.

According to Forbes, Everton are monitoring any developments with the future of Kamada ahead of potentially making an approach in 2023.

The 26-year-old has emerged as the star of the current Frankfurt side, contributing a total of nine goals and two assists in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season.

Kamada was also part of the team which won the Europa League during 2021-22, and the Japan international now has admirers around Europe.

They will all be encouraged by Kamada having less than a year remaining on his contract ahead of representing his country at the upcoming World Cup.

While Kamada may still opt to remain at the German side, there is also every chance that he may decide to take on a fresh challenge after being contracted to Frankfurt since 2017.

The report adds that Kamada had been interested in moving to Benfica last summer, only for Frankfurt to reject at least one bid for his signature.

Frankfurt currently sit in fifth position in the Bundesliga standings, six points adrift of surprise leaders Union Berlin.

Kamada is also hoping to help send Frankfurt through to the last 16 of the Champions League with victory over Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday evening.
