Everton boss Sam Allardyce planning for next season

Everton manager Sam Allardyce insists that he is preparing for next season despite rumours linking him with the Goodison Park exit.

Everton manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that he is planning for next season despite persistent rumours that he will be dismissed at the end of the season.

The former England boss said that he is aiming to bring in new faces at Goodison Park and is open to selling wantaway members of his squad.

"We'll be out in the market, I think it'll be a pretty expensive and difficult market again, but we'll have to wheel and deal the best we possibly can and improve the team," Allardyce told talkSPORT.

"A clearout is perhaps too strong, but there are players who will generally know and want to leave because they haven't played as much as they wanted to play.

"When you have a squad of about 38 professionals, and you can only fit 25 [in your Premier League squad], you know you're running a bit too heavy. So we need to address that."

Recent reports suggest that Everton are planning to replace Allardyce with either Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Paulo Fonseca or ex-Watford boss Marco Silva this summer.
