Everton boss Ronald Koeman has taken the positives from his team's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Friday night.
Victory for the Toffees would have taken them into second position in the Premier League table, but a Christian Benteke header cancelled out a Romelu Lukaku free kick as the points were shared.
Koeman, however, has insisted that the result was "a good point in the end" and has called his team's performance against in-form Palace "outstanding".
"It's a good point in the end. We defended set plays and second balls well against a difficult team. The team performance was outstanding, although we'd like to create more opportunities," Koeman told Sky Sports News.
"We've had a good start to the season. The position in the table is not everything at the moment and we need to improve, but we're doing a good job."
Everton, who finished 11th in the table under Roberto Martinez last season, have won four, drawn two and lost one of their seven Premier League matches this term.
