Rio Ferdinand hits out at Everton fans

Rio Ferdinand urges Everton fans to get off the backs of young players like John Stones and Ross Barkley.

Rio Ferdinand has criticised Everton supporters for their treatment of the team's younger players during today's 2-1 loss at home to Swansea City.

There were audible jeers at the break and on the final whistle at Goodison Park, while during the match the likes of 21-year-old defender John Stones and Ross Barkley, 22, felt the wrath of the home faithful.

Writing on Twitter this afternoon, former West Ham United and Manchester United centre-back Ferdinand warned the supporters that their outbursts will have a negative impact on their young talents.

The defeat to Swansea means that Everton have won only one of their last 10 Premier League games.ID:264927: cacheID:264927:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:2166:No Data Analysis info
