Everton boss Roberto Martinez has talked up the goal threat that Steven Naismith brings to the side.
The Scot struggled under David Moyes initially, but has found his form under Martinez playing as a more orthodox forward, and the Toffees boss highlighted the Scot's qualities after watching him score nine goals this term.
He told the club's official website: "He's got that mentality. I've said it before, I think Steven Naismith's strength is his understanding of the game and the way that he helps the team in the role he plays.
"But then, he will always bring that goalscoring threat which, as a striker, he has developed over the years.
"That combination makes for a very effective weapon for us when we play against teams with huge quality because he can be the one who finds the gaps and weaknesses in the opposition."
Martinez's men returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Newcastle United on Sunday.
