Everton, West Ham United charged by Football Association over Goodison melee

Both Everton and West Ham United are charged by the FA after a first-half ruckus during the Premier League match at Goodison Park.

Premier League sides Everton and West Ham United have been charged by the Football Association for their actions during Saturday's match at Goodison Park.

The FA said this evening that both clubs "failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion" around the 40th minute.

The ruckus came after Everton's James McCarthy brought down Morgan Amalfitano and received a booking. Hammers defender Winston Reid was also yellow-carded for his retaliation.

Both clubs have until 6pm on December 1 to respond to the charge.
