Everton have confirmed that Ashley Cole has joined the club as the first-team coach.
The 41-year-old will link up with his former Chelsea teammate and new manager Frank Lampard, as he leaves his previous position with the Blues, where he was involved in the academy.
Cole started coaching at Derby County after playing under the current Toffees manager, and he then followed him back to Stamford Bridge in order to be part of the setup there.
The former England international is another addition to the backroom staff which consists of Joe Edwards, Duncan Ferguson, Paul Clement, Chris Jones and Alan Kelly.
Cole has also worked with the England Under-21s, where he became the assistant manager last summer, providing him with further experience in his coaching career.
Everton's next match will be on Saturday in the FA Cup against Brentford, which will mark Lampard's first game in charge of the club.
