Felipe Caicedo joins Espanyol

Espanyol sign Ecuador international and former Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo on a free transfer.

Espanyol have signed Ecuador international Felipe Caicedo on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old, who has penned a two-year deal with the Barcelona-based club, had been available on a free after leaving Qatari club Al-Jazira last month.

The powerful striker, who has also played for Manchester City and Lokomotiv Moscow, has experience of playing in Spain having had loan spells with both Malaga and Levante.

Caicedo has also scored 15 goals in 53 games for his country.
