Michael Carrick will reportedly replace Frank Lampard in the England starting lineup for this evening's final 2014 World Cup qualifier against Poland.
Chelsea midfielder Lampard started against Montenegro on Friday evening, but he was replaced in the 65th minute by Manchester United's Carrick.
Manager Roy Hodgson has decided to now stick with Carrick, who will play alongside captain Steven Gerrard in the heart of the England midfield, according to the Daily Mail.
Hodgson is expected to continue with the same 4-2-3-1 formation, with the only change coming at right-back because Kyle Walker is suspended.
Phil Jones has been tipped to deputise in Walker's absence, although his Man United teammate Chris Smalling is also believed to be in contention.
