Jens Lehmann expects England to suffer early exit in World Cup

Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann believes that England will suffer an early exit at this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Former Germany and Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann believes that England will fail to go far in this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Roy Hodgson will announce his 30-man provisional World Cup squad on May 13, a day after the final round of Premier League fixtures.

"From the English, I do not expect much," Goal.com quotes Lehmann as saying. "They've also had a strenuous season. The players are not really looking forward to going to the England team, I think.

"This is even more stress because they know anyway, they cannot win anything."

England will begin their World Cup campaign against Italy in Manaus on June 14.
