England manager Roy Hodgson has insisted that he is "happy" with Kyle Walker's state of mind ahead of tomorrow's World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.
Photographs emerged this weekend of Walker inhaling nitrous oxide during a night out in his home town of Sheffield earlier this summer, prompting the Tottenham Hotspur right-back to apologise for taking the legal high.
Despite this, Hodgson has confirmed that Walker will start the crucial qualifier tomorrow and has no doubts that the 23-year-old will be ready to play.
"Yes, I am happy about that. He has made his apology. He has made his mistake. It was a long time ago, I think he had forgotten about it," Hodgson told reporters. "It might have been worse had it happened last weekend."
Meanwhile, the FA have confirmed that they will not take any further action against the defender.
