England defender Danny Rose has said that his side "thoroughly deserved" their 3-2 victory over world champions Germany on Saturday.
Roy Hodgson's side looked to be on course for defeat in Berlin when Germany moved into a 2-0 lead, but goals from Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Eric Dier sealed a memorable comeback win for the Three Lions.
Rose played the full 90 minutes on his international debut and praised the leadership and attitude of the team to fight back.
"It's a great achievement for me, my club, my family. I feared the worst going 2-0 down but the lads showed a great attitude and we thoroughly deserved to win the game," Rose told reporters.
"We have had a couple of meetings during this camp. [England coach] Ray Lewington has spoken about there being more leaders on the pitch and once you go 1-0 or 2-0 down you look for your leaders.
"You hope they can dig you out and give you more confidence and Harry's scored a brilliant first goal and we thoroughly deserved it."
England next take on Netherlands at Wembley on Tuesday night.
