England Under-21s manager Stuart Pearce wants to stay in his role after the European Championships.

England Under-21s manager Stuart Pearce is hoping to extend his stay as boss beyond this summer's European Championships.

Pearce has been in charge of the Three Lions for the past six years but was linked with a return to club management despite guiding his side to four straight Euros.

Pearce told reporters: "I'm looking forward to seeing Sir Trevor Brooking with regard to my future. I'm absolutely delighted with the job I do.

"I really enjoy working with young players, have a real passion for it and I look forward to sitting down with the FA in two weeks' time."

England kick off their campaign in Israel in the Euros against Italy later today.
