England coach Stuart Lancaster has insisted that he is "delighted" for Christian Wade following the winger's call-up to the British & Irish Lions squad.
The 22-year-old, who is currently with the England team in Argentina, was selected by Lions coach Warren Gatland on Saturday amid growing injury concerns for the tourists in Australia.
"We're delighted for Christian," Sky Sports News quotes Lancaster as saying.
"He's been in excellent form, played really well on his Test debut against Argentina last weekend and he goes with the best wishes of all the England players and management."
Gloucester Rugby's Jonny May replaces Wade in the England squad.
