Jack Grealish will not be available for selection for the next England squad, according to reports.
The 20-year-old pledged his international future to England on Monday, but The Mirror claims that clearance for Grealish to play for his new nation will take around a month.
England play Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania on October 9 and 12, and Hodgson could name a number of young players in the squad, including Dele Alli and Eric Dier.
The Aston Villa winger had previously played for the Republic of Ireland at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-21 level.
