Chelsea's John Terry could miss England's Euro 2012 opener against France following reports that he is struggling with his hamstring.

The defender could only manage a light training session today, and faces a battle to reach full fitness ahead of Monday afternoon's game.

Roy Hodgson could face a selection headache with defensive pair Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling unfit, and Rio Ferdinand failing to make the squad.

Terry limped off with a hamstring injury during last weekend's 1-0 friendly victory over Belgium. He flew out to Krakow with the rest of the squad after undergoing a scan and getting the all-clear.

However, he has since been warned that sustaining a knock against France could sideline him for the rest of the tournament, The Mirror understands.

England's Euro 2012 campaign gets underway against France on June 11.
