Sunday's Serie A predictions including Bologna vs. Napoli

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Bologna vs. Napoli.

Empoli vs. Inter Milan (Sunday, 11.30am)

Having followed derby delight with a creditable draw in Europe, Inter Milan return to Serie A duty on Sunday, when they visit rock-bottom Empoli.

While Inter have won all of their league games so far, the hosts were thrashed by Roma last weekend and swiftly responded by sacking their manager.

We say: Empoli 1-3 Inter Milan

Empoli can get off the mark with an overdue goal this weekend, though even if they end their drought Inter simply boast too much firepower for them to handle. A change of management may eventually have some effect on the Azzurri's ailing fortunes, but their Milanese counterparts will take charge of proceedings in Sunday's early kickoff and post a fifth league win on the spin.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Atalanta vs. Cagliari (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Atalanta BC reconvene for domestic matters with a home encounter against Cagliari in Serie A on Sunday after returning to the European stage in midweek.

La Dea beat Polish champions Rakow Czestochowa here at the Gewiss Stadium on Thursday in their first European outing in almost 18 months.

We say: Atalanta BC 2-0 Cagliari

Even though Atalanta have been bouncing between winning and losing, they should make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season against relegation-candidates Cagliari.

Despite a fine recent record here at the Gewiss Stadium, Cagliari look likely to struggle all season, especially with no obvious goal threat, so another blank could be on the cards too.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Udinese vs. Fiorentina (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Still seeking their first Serie A win of the season, Udinese host Fiorentina at the Dacia Arena on Sunday afternoon.

While the hosts have not tasted victory since a Coppa Italia success in early August, their Tuscan counterparts continue to show characteristic inconsistency, with two wins, two draws and one defeat in all competitions.

We say: Udinese 1-1 Fiorentina

Despite lacking bite up front, Udinese rarely concede more than one goal and are generally tough to beat on home soil. As Fiorentina's ever-changing cast will be rotated again, a disjointed performance may see them restricted to a single point from their trip north to Udine.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Bologna vs. Napoli (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After kicking off their Champions League campaign with a win, Napoli resume the defence of their Serie A title on Sunday, when they visit Bologna.

The Partenopei have won on four of their last seven trips to Stadio Dall'Ara, but after a mixed start to the season they sit just two points clear of their Emilian hosts in the standings.

We say: Bologna 1-1 Napoli

As Bologna are generally tough to beat at Stadio Dall'Ara - and Napoli may have a hangover from their Champions League exertions - the home side can snatch a point from their visitors, who are not exhibiting the same relentless rhythm that saw them finally end a 33-year title drought.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Torino vs. Roma (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Two wins and nine goals in the space of a week have helped Roma get up and running for the 2023-24 campaign, and the capital club now visit Torino in Sunday's late kickoff.

After smashing Empoli to post their first Serie A success of the season, Jose Mourinho's men went on to taste victory in Europe on Thursday; meanwhile, Toro are also resurgent following back-to-back wins.

We say: Torino 0-1 Roma

Heading into the fifth round of fixtures, only Napoli had conceded fewer shots than Roma in Serie A this season; meanwhile, only Cagliari have recorded fewer shots on target than Torino. It could therefore be a close-fought encounter in Turin, with perhaps one goal separating two well-drilled sides.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
