Brian Flynn being considered for permanent Doncaster role

Brian Flynn reveals that Doncaster Rovers have placed him on their shortlist for the permanent managerial role.

Former Swansea City boss Brian Flynn has revealed that he is on the shortlist for the permanent managerial vacancy at Doncaster Rovers.

The 57-year-old, who was handed the joint-caretaker role along with captain Rob Jones when Dean Saunders left the club for Wolverhampton Wanderers, suggests that he is open to taking the job.

"Possession is nine-tenths of the law and I've got the job at the moment," Flynn told BBC Radio Sheffield. "The club have told me that I am on the shortlist and I await their decision."

Flynn managed the Wales Under-21 team before moving to the Keepmoat Stadium.
