Derby County manager Nigel Clough has admitted that he would be willing to sell Jason Shackell if the club were to receive an acceptable bid for the defender.
Shackell, who moved to Pride Park last summer for a seven-figure fee from Barnsley, started in all of the Rams' 46 Championship matches last season.
"We don't want to lose Jason but if we got significant funds and it enabled us to buy a couple of players and replace him, without losing too much strength in that area, then that's what we'll look to do," Clough told the Derby Telegraph.
"We're not making Jason available for transfer but if something comes in, we will look at it.
"We're in a position where we don't have to sell anybody, we keep emphasising that. However, if it can help strengthen the team and the squad, that's the way we will do it."
Burnley are understood to be interested in Shackell and have reportedly had two bids for the player rejected.
