League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge have completed the signing of Gavin Hoyte on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old had been a free agent since the beginning of July following his release from Premier League outfit Arsenal.
Having acquired the services of the versatile defender, Daggers manager John Still revealed that his club beat off competition from a number of teams to land their target.
"He's come out of Arsenal and has come out with good habits," said Still.
"The thing that impressed us most of all is that he had four or five options and he chose Dagenham."
Hoyte had a one-month loan spell with AFC Wimbledon last season.
