Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish rules out a deadline-day exit for forward Wilfried Zaha, saying that a deal to see him leave would be "ridiculous".

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has ruled out a deadline-day exit for forward Wilfried Zaha, saying that a deal to see him leave would be "ridiculous".

Zaha has been linked with a move to both Everton and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer window, but Eagles boss Roy Hodgson rubbished the rumours last week by saying that the Ivorian forward had offered him "no indication" of an imminent departure.

Speaking to Sky Sports News on Wednesday evening, Parish solidified Zaha's future at Selhurst Park.

"It would be a ridiculous point to do it, wouldn't it?" the chairman said.

"I mean to go the whole transfer window and only think about it now to come in with a bid would be ridiculous."

Palace's most recent signing was the acquisition of Max Meyer on a free transfer from Schalke 04.
