Crystal Palace 'closing in on Everton striker Arouna Kone'

Crystal Palace are reportedly closing in on a deal to bring Everton striker Arouna Kone to the club on deadline day.

Crystal Palace are reportedly closing in on the signing of Arouna Kone from Everton.

Kone has not made a single start for the Toffees under Ronald Koeman and has only appeared six times for the club across all competitions this season.

Palace manager Sam Allardyce is thought to be looking at late additions to his squad on deadline day in an attempt to steer his side clear of the relegation zone.

Sky Sports News reports that the Eagles have earmarked Kone as a possible target and are hopeful of completing a deal before the 11pm deadline.

Palace currently sit 18th in the Premier League table, two points from safety.
