Crystal Palace reportedly have no immediate plans to sack manager Alan Pardew, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

Crystal Palace reportedly have no immediate plans to sack manager Alan Pardew following five successive defeats in the Premier League.

Newspaper reports have claimed that Pardew will be given his marching orders by the club's board should the team lose to Swansea City this weekend.

However, according to the London Evening Standard, Palace chairman Steve Parish and American co-owners David Blitzer and Josh Harris are continuing to support Pardew, despite the dismal run, after meeting with the coach in New York during the international break.

The Eagles currently sit 16th in the league table, just one point above the relegation zone after 12 games.

Pardew has guided the team to just three league wins, while two have ended in draws and seven have been losses, the latest of which was a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at Selhurst Park.

The 55-year-old was appointed by the Eagles on a three-and-a-half-year contract in 2015.
