Crystal Palace consider John Salako as first-team coach?

Crystal Palace are considering John Salako for their vacant first-team coach role, according to a report.

John Salako is reportedly being considered for a position on Crystal Palace's coaching staff.

Palace boss Alan Pardew is looking for a new first-team coach after Ben Garner left Selhurst Park by mutual consent last week.

Salako, who played for Palace between 1986 and 1995, has previously held coaching roles within the club's academy.

According to the Daily Mail, Pardew is considering Salako as a replacement for Garner.

Palace begin the new Premier League season with a trip to Norwich City on August 8.
