Mile Jedinak defends his elbowing of Diafra Sakho, saying that it was accidental.

Mile Jedinak has defended himself over his elbowing of Diafra Sakho, saying that it was accidental.

The Crystal Palace captain insists that he meant no harm when he clattered into Sakho late in the game and caught the West Ham man in the side of the face.

The challenge went unpunished, although the Australian international midfielder may face retrospective action.

"I am not sure how I caught him, but I did not mean to," The Mirror quotes Jedinak as saying.

Palace won 3-1 at Upton Park in the afternoon's early kickoff.
