Niko Kranjcar insists that Croatia can defeat Spain on Monday.

Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar has insisted that they can beat Spain on Monday, despite admitting that the world and European champions play "beautiful football."

The Croats need to secure three points to guarantee their progress from Group C, and the 27-year-old is confident of doing just that.

"It's going to be even more difficult than playing Italy. It's against the world and European champions who play the most beautiful football that's maybe ever been played. But we're going to do everything to cause an upset and to go through," he told reporters.

Kranjcar left Tottenham Hotspur to join Dynamo Kiev this summer.
