Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has revealed that the club will return with one final offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bradden Inman.
The 21-year-old, who has rejected the chance to sign an extended deal with the Magpies this summer, has been the subject of three bids from Crewe in recent weeks.
"Our third bid for Brad was rejected by Newcastle, so we will have to look at our options and decide our next move," Davis told the club's official website. "I think we have made them a very good offer, especially for a player who has not had a lot of first-team experience. In fact it was us taking him on loan last season that gave him his first taste of that experience.
"We would still like to sign Brad and give him a chance to play competitive football, so I'm sure the club will go back in with a final offer. It won't be too much more than what we have already offered because I think we have offered what we think he is worth."
"If that is rejected then we would have to decide whether to go into a tribunal situation, where it can be risky, or we decide that we have taken it as far as we can and the deal is finished."
Inman spent the majority of last season on loan at Gresty Road.
