Coventry City could leave their Ricoh Arena home ground before the end of the season, according to a report.
The Sky Blues owners announced earlier today that a non-operating subsidiary of the club has been placed into administration - a move that is said to have wiped out their debt to the stadium's owners Arena Coventry Limited (ACL).
ACL was calling for Coventry City itself to be placed into administration over unpaid rent of £1.3m. Today's High Court ruling may have prevented this, but also put them in breach of contract with their landlords.
The stadium owners could now ban the club from playing all future home games at the Ricoh, a move that Coventry is anticipating, according to Sky Sports News.
Coventry, who currently lie in eighth place in the League One table, face an administration hearing this Friday, where it will be decided whether the club is to be docked 10 points over its financial disarray.
