Patrick Ekeng joins Cordoba

Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng signs a two-year contract with newly-promoted La Liga side Cordoba.

Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng has signed a two-year contract with Cordoba.

The 24-year-old, who spent four years with Le Mans before representing Lausanne-Sport last season, had been linked with a number of European clubs this summer.

However, Cordoba swooped for the defensive midfielder on an initial two-year deal, with the option of a third.

Cordoba secured their spot in La Liga for the coming season after beating Las Palmas in the Segunda Division playoffs.

Ekeng is a former Under-20 Cameroon international.
