Luton Town manager John Still rules out Freddie Sears arrival

Colchester United striker Freddie Sears will not be joining Luton Town this month, according to Hatters boss John Still.

Manager John Still has played down recent speculation that has linked Freddie Sears with a move to Luton Town.

It has been suggested that Still was eager to sign the former West Ham United frontman to bolster his side's chances of gaining promotion out of League Two this season.

However, Still has insisted that the Hatters do not possess the financial muscle to lure the 25-year-old away from Colchester United.

"No, Freddie is well out of our range, well out of it," he told Luton Today.

Sears has scored 13 goals for League One strugglers Colchester this term.
