Rooney's brother John joins Conference side Chester on loan

Wayne Rooney's brother John moves to Conference side Chester on a one-month loan deal from Bury.

John Rooney has made the move to Conference side Chester on a one-month loan deal from Bury.

The 22-year-old, who is the younger brother of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, signed a 12-month contract with Bury following a trial at Gigg Lane.

Chester boss Neil Young told the club's official website: "John is a player we looked at in the summer, he is a player who has football league experience and I believe at this time and our current position requires lads with league experience to take us forward."

Rooney has featured just four times for Bury this season, three of which came as a substitute.
