Chelsea attacker Kevin de Bruyne has picked up an ankle problem during a training session with his Belgium teammates.
The 22-year-old has been taken to hospital for an assessment of the injury, but as yet no announcement has been made as to the severity of the knock.
Even so, his participation in Friday's World Cup qualifier against Croatia, as well as his availability for the final match against Scotland a week today, has been thrown into doubt.
De Bruyne has made four appearances for Chelsea this season, but was recently dropped by manager Jose Mourinho, who was disappointed by his performance during a League Cup tie against Swindon Town.
