Valencia want Fernando Torres to replace Roberto Soldado?

Valencia want Chelsea striker Fernando Torres to replace Roberto Soldado should their forward move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Valencia are reportedly planning to replace the potentially outgoing Roberto Soldado with Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

Soldado looks likely to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer with the north London outfit willing to meet the player's £26m buyout clause.

The departure of the Spain international would see Los Che try to replace him and the Liga side have identified Torres as the man to fill the void, according to the Daily Mail.

However, it is believed that the Spaniards are unlikely to offer too much above the £25m mark due to their financial problems and the fact that Torres turned 29 in March.

Soldado scored 24 goals in La Liga last season, while Torres managed eight in the Premier League.
