Tottenham Hotspur reportedly make contact with Barcelona over a possible loan deal for out-of-favour midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly enquired about the availability of Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The former Juventus man has struggled to make a name for himself under Ronald Koeman, and Barca are expected to sanction his departure before the 2021-22 season gets underway.

Pjanic has naturally been linked with a return to Juve in order to reunite with Massimiliano Allegri, while Chelsea are also thought to be considering a swoop.

Now, Sport reports that Barca are desperate to offload Pjanic within the next few days, and Tottenham have joined the race for his services.

The report adds that Spurs' new sporting director Fabio Paratici has made contact over a possible loan move, but the out-of-favour midfielder is prioritising a return to the Italian top flight.

Pjanic made 30 appearances across all competitions during his maiden campaign at Camp Nou, but he only started a mere six games in La Liga.
