Fernando Torres to remain at Chelsea?

Chelsea reportedly inform striker Fernando Torres that he could have a future at Stamford Bridge.

Striker Fernando Torres has reportedly been told by Chelsea that he could have a future at the club.

Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba came in for fierce criticism last season due to their lack of goals, and it was thought that the Spaniard was heading towards the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to The Express, with Eto'o being released and Ba believed to be talking with other clubs, the Blues are keen to keep the former Liverpool forward in West London.

The 30-year-old, who scored just 11 goals in 41 appearances during the last campaign, is expected to challenge impending arrival Diego Costa for a starting place.
