Andre Schurrle admits that he would have been interested in moving to Chelsea.

Chelsea summer target Andre Schurrle has admitted that it would have been hard to turn the London club down had his club Bayer Leverkusen been willing to sell him.

Schurrle has been the subject of a summer pursuit by Chelsea, with Leverkusen consistently rejecting any approaches for the 21-year-old.

"I don't think you would find any player in the Bundesliga who would say that they would not at all be interested," Schurrle told Kicker magazine.

"Chelsea would have been very interesting for me. You don't get a chance like that very often in your life.

"[However Bayer] could not find a suitable replacement and I am too important to [the club]."

Schurrle has seven goals in 16 Germany caps.
