Report: Chelsea to offer David Luiz for Mario Mandzukic

Chelsea reportedly prepare a swap offer of David Luiz for Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a swap offer of David Luiz for Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to sign a top-class centre-forward this summer, and a deal for Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa appears to be coming to fruition.

However, Mourinho is also ready to offer Brazilian defender Luiz to Bayern in exchange for Croatian international Mandzukic.

According to Bild, it is a proposition that Bayern could be open to, with Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski due to join up with his new teammates when the transfer window opens.
