Report: Chelsea make world record bid for Paul Pogba

Chelsea reportedly offer Juventus a world-record transfer fee of £86m for midfielder Paul Pogba.

Chelsea have reportedly submitted a bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba that would break the world record for the highest transfer fee ever paid for a footballer.

The Premier League champions have been linked with the French international several times in recent years, but the Serie A side are thought to be keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old.

According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Chelsea have offered the Turin side £86m for Pogba, which would break the record set by Gareth Bale's move to Real Madrid two years ago.

Chelsea have already been busy in the transfer market this week, completing deals for winger Pedro and left-back Baba Rahman.
